A few months ago, someone named Zack Estes sent me a message over LinkedIn asking if I’d like to appear on the podcast he helps produce. For fear of sounding extremely unrelatable, I get many messages on social media these days, and if I responded to every one of them, I wouldn’t have time for sleep.

With that, I went on my day and didn’t think much of it.

Zack then wrote again a few days later, talking about the hundreds of thousands of downloads they get on their podcast. Huh…

I then told him sure, he sent me an email, and I forwarded it to Dan Briscoe, BuildWitt’s COO. Dan said that he’s listened to Entreleadership for years, and it’s his family’s favorite podcast. At this point, I’m convinced.

One, two, six, there Dan and I are walking into Ramsey Solutions’ headquarters just south of Nashville, Tennessee, to record the podcast in person. We were amazed by the business, culture, people, building, and scale at which Ramsey operates. It was spectacular and inspiring as a young business owner to see.

While I’m still convinced they ran out of guests to have on, so they panicked and chose a kid up the street at random, I spoke with the host of the podcast, Daniel Tardy, for nearly two hours and then walked out into the night in slight disbelief of everything that had happened.

It turns out it wasn’t all a practical joke, and they published the episode this week behind last week’s episode with Dave Ramsey himself. Humbling is an understatement. Thank you to the whole Entreleadership team for allowing me to tell the BuildWitt story and preach about dirt!
