Vlog

Beginning in December 2023, a massive eruption about 45 minutes from Iceland's capital city, Reykjavik, began to threaten a local town and power plant.

Authorities swooped in to respond, mobilizing a large force of earthmoving machines to begin building barriers using old volcanic material to reroute the new lava flows away from civilization.

They've worked nonstop since, as the eruption has happened SIX times as of September 2024.

We were fortunate to have incredible access to the project thanks to Istak, Iceland's largest contractor.
