Why are you Passionate about BuildWitt
Our industry is unlike any other. From someone who came from outside the dirt world, it’s truly humbling to meet the people and companies who keep our society running. More than anything else, I’m here to share their story in a meaningful way and show our partners just how much potential they have to leave a lasting positive impact.
I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors. Whether it’s running, backpacking, skiing, I’ll take any opportunity I can to get outside (preferably out of the city and into the mountains). Banff will always be one of my favorites, but we’ll see after my next backpacking trip to Chile.
Oh boy, this is a tough one. I’m going to cheat and share my top three. First is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. Any piece of writing that can make me feel so much—so viscerally—is deserving of being in my top three. Second, is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I’m a closeted fantasy nerd (I guess not anymore) and I discover a newfound appreciation for his prose every time I read it—starting my fifth reread now. And last but certainly not least is Atomic Habits by James Clear. His book has made a more positive impact on my physical, mental, and emotional health than anything else I’ve read or experienced
