Why are you passionate about dirt/BuildWitt?
My dad worked at the local lumber Mill when I was very small and I loved the smell of his sawdust and the noisy drone of that workplace. I was also proud of my grandfathers and uncles who worked as divers, engineers and pipe fitters on the Panama Canal, and I have always held the trades and the world of dirt++ in high regard.
I fell in love with BuildWitt when I saw Aaron’s photo from somewhere far away (Middle East?). The sheer scale of the thing, his love for machines, and the realization that this love of moving dirt and big equipment unites people across cultures, across the world– lit me up. When I started to follow Aaron’s social media accounts, I realized his heart to make a difference to a generation echoed mightily with my own sense of purpose in the world.

Some form of beans + rice + chili peppers

What motivates you more than anything else? What’s your personal “why”?
I want to live a life with nothing held back. To work with passion, challenge myself creatively, and end up having risked my lot and held nothing back. A huge part of this is to show love and gratitude to my parents and to inspire my girls and husband to do the same. I want to be one of those people who others tilt their head and say “ok, wait, so it is possible.”
